O movimento Maio Amarelo é a maior mobilização social pela segurança no trânsito no mundo todo. Unindo o poder público, a sociedade civil e a iniciativa privada o movimento propõe o engajamento de todos para a redução de sinistros e óbitos nas vias e rodovias. Na 4ª Conferência Global Ministerial de Segurança Viária, a campanha do Maio Amarelo 2024 foi reconhecida com a melhor iniciativa global de conscientização, conquistando o grande prêmio do 10º World Film Festival on Road Safety. Em 2025, o tema “Desacelere. Seu bem maior é a vida” propõe uma reflexão bastante humana sobre a pressa e a ansiedade e os respectivos impactos e consequências desses comportamentos na segurança no trânsito.

The Yellow May movement is the largest social mobilization for road safety worldwide. Uniting public authorities, civil society, and the private sector, the movement proposes the engagement of all to reduce accidents and fatalities on roads and highways. At the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, the 2024 Yellow May campaign was recognized as the best global awareness initiative, winning the grand prize at the 10th World Film Festival on Road Safety. In 2025, the theme "Slow Down. Your greatest asset is life" invites a deeply human reflection on haste and anxiety, and the respective impacts and consequences of these behaviors on road safety.
