Biografia do Palestrante:

Erika Hilton é a primeira deputada federal negra e trans eleita na história do Brasil. Na eleição de 2022, teve 256.903 votos em São Paulo, sendo a nona candidata mais votada do estado na eleição.  Por dois anos, foi a presidenta da Comissão de Direitos Humanos da Câmara Municipal de São Paulo, na condição de primeira vereadora transvestigênere a ser eleita para o Legislativo paulistano. Nas eleições municipais de 2020, ela foi a mulher mais bem votada ao legislativo, em todo Brasil.  Ativista pelas causas LGBTQIA+, antirracista e feminista, em 2021 entrou para o ranking das 100 pessoas afrodescendentes mais influentes do mundo, sendo a única política brasileira. Foi eleita como uma das 20 líderes da nova geração pela revista norte-americana Time e uma das cinco ativistas globais premiadas pela luta na defesa da comunidade LGBTQIA+ pelo MTV European Music Awards.

Erika Hilton is the first black and trans elected federal deputy in the history of Brazil. In the 2022 election, she had 256,903 votes in São Paulo, being the 9th most voted candidate in the state in the election.  For two years, she was the president of the Human Rights Commission of the São Paulo City Council, as the first transvestite councilwoman to be elected to the São Paulo Legislative branch. In the 2020 municipal elections, she was the best voted woman in Brazil.  Activist for LGBTQIA+, anti-racist and feminist causes, she entered the ranking of the 100 most influential people of African descent in the world in 2021, being the only Brazilian politician. She was chosen as one of the 20 leaders of the new generation by the American Time magazine and one of the five global activists awarded for the fight in defense of the LGBTQIA+ community by the MTV European Music Awards.
