Decarbonization in the steel industry is extremely important for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and for the transition to a low carbon economy. Much has been discussed about decarbonization in the iron ore reduction processes, since this is the process that generates most CO2 emissions in the steel industry, but the control and reduction of carbon footprint in the steelmaking has its importance, and the comprehensive approach of all these aspects in this round table will contribute to a better understanding of this movement.
