Stone Soup Consultant since 2019. Now Principal Consultant. Harriet has a background in human rights and international development in fragile and conflict-affected states and has over 10 years’ experience as a researcher and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) specialist. In addition to her conflict and human rights work, Harriet is passionate about climate change and environmental issues. During recent years she has consulted for the Green Climate Fund on their Readiness Programme, monitored the UK’s International Climate Finance (ICF) commitments and worked on environmental programmes with the EU involving youth activism and promoting sustainable behaviours. She has extensive experience working on refugee and migration issues and is very interested in the nexus between climate change and conflict and human rights issues. Harriet has a degree in Spanish, Arabic and Middle Eastern Politics and a Master’s in Human Rights Policy and Practice. She is British, based in Portugal and speaks Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese.
