Catarina Canelas

Biografia do Palestrante:

Catarina Canelas began her career in journalism in 2003, at TVI. In 2005, her curiosity for the East took her to Macau, where she was a journalist at TDM - Rádio Macau for three years.Back to Portugal, she returned to work at TVI, especially on issues of social relevance, signing several major award-winning reports and is the author of the documentary series \"Plástico, O Novo Continente\" which has won several national and international awards and distinctions, including the Rey de España Ibero-American Journalism Award and the UNESCO Human Rights Journalism Award.She was also a news anchor for TVI24 and a guest professor at ISCTE-IUL. She is one of the founding journalists of CNN Portugal, President of the Zero Waste Portugal Institute and Communication Consultant at the Maio Biodiversity Foundation, Cape Verde. She is also a Trainer and participates in several national and international events and conferences, as moderator, speaker and keynote speaker, especially in the areas of environment, sustainability and Oceans. She is the author of the book \'A Hora da Partida: \"Angola 1974/1975\" and Co-Author of the book \"101 Vozes pela Sustentabilidade (Por um Desenvolvimento Responsável).
