The first African woman to become FMB Director, Janete Agues is a firm and discreet young woman with an immense capacity for leadership and ensuring the implementation of the organisation\'s mission, vision and objectives. For a decade she has contributed to the design and management of key initiatives in the field of environmental conservation and sustainable development, namely: author of the Zone + Environmentally Friendly initiative, development of the ecotourism brochure \"Ilha do Maio: Nature, Culture and the Protected Areas\" and identification of community awareness strategies to reduce the impact of human action on biodiversity.
